  Single Parent Coaching Project

Caroline is currently delivering a project in partnership with Single Parent Action Network which provides six free sessions of life coaching for forty single parents. The project is funded by Quartet and is available to single parents living in Bristol and claiming income support. Participants must aspire to setting and achieving some goals related to either voluntary work, training, education or paid work.

She delivered a similar pilot project on a smaller scale during 2005 which showed that coaching could help single parents manage the complexity of single parenthood and overcome barriers in order to achieve vocational aims. It also helped participants improve soft skills such as confidence, self belief, time management and motivation which not only helped with not only vocational aims but all areas of life.

If you are interested in finding out more about the project please contact Caroline by email or phone. Single parents wishing to benefit from the scheme will be selected on the basis of a short application form and informal interview. No formal qualifications or experience are required but candidates will be selected on the basis of their attitude, commitment and willingness to make the most the opportunity.
